tofino hot springs
cove excursion

Ahhh. You’ve arrived at Tofino’s Hot Springs Cove. You’re at the edge of the continent, backdropped by verdant rainforest with the wild Pacific Ocean beyond. Waves crash. Eagles soar. And you’re taking it all in from a sensuous pool of thermally heated rainwater—a secluded natural hot springs in an off-grid park in Tofino. This is Hot Springs Cove on Vancouver Island’s west coast. Spend six hours in a pristine Pacific paradise, enthralled by wildlife viewing, wilderness walks, a scenic boat tour and, of course, relaxing soaks in a one-of-kind setting.

Departing by covered and heated boat from Tofino Harbour, guests on our Tofino Host Springs Tour will cruise north along the coastline for 90 minutes toward Maquinna Provincial Park and Hot Springs Cove. Along the way, opportunities abound for viewing marine mammals—including whales, sea lions and otters—as well as sea birds and coastal scenery. At the park, a two-kilometre boardwalk through lush coastal temperature rainforest leads to Hot Springs Cove where a pool of thermally-heated water sits at the shoreline. Guests will have three hours to soak in the warm pools and explore the area. The return trip is via a 90 minute boat ride home for more eco-adventure.

Guests must be able to walk over varying terrain including stairs and an uneven rocky shoreline. Guests should bring warm clothing for the boat ride; swimsuit, water shoes and towel for the hot springs; as well as lunch and drinking water. Minimum group size of one, maximum of 12. Toilet facilities onboard the boat and at Maquinna Provincial Park.
