FUN FACT
The Tofino region is globally unique for being home to three different ecotypes – or cultures – of killer whales. While we most often see transient killer whales in the area, we occasionally view residents and offshore killer whales as well. Each ecotype has its own unique calls, diet, and hunting techniques.
